FORD does it agian

Post by Samsbird »

Ford had another banner year outselling the other brands, check out the F150 stat (V6 vs V8) impressive. Ford really does have alot on the ball and it's showing up in sales.

Well some would say you have to replace a Ford truck three times to one other brand truck, many would rather have the title as best truck then best selling truck. =)) =)) =)) =)) =))

That would be true if they all were not still out there, but to have to replace means that it has failed and as our friend John knows if your let down you typically switch brands not by another of the same :d

I'll sit this one out.

But keep this in mind. Ford out sells every other single brand. Chevy and GMC are considered separate brands. And they are listed seperately in the monthly beakdown of sales.

Its all about marketing. :thumbrt:

Before the trucks wars get crazy I think you are comparing apples and oranges. The sales figures are for the 150s and 1500s. There are probably not very many of them pulling Cardinals. Are there any sales figures out there relevant to the 250s 2500s or 350s 3500s that we use. I think it is great that all sales are up. Let the competition among brands continue because in the end we will win.

Come on guys learn to take a joke its not like somebody just shot your dog its a truck and believe it or not I really don't care what you drive or own as long as your happy with it.

Only Chevy company truck I drove that was worth a darn was a 1996 C/K3500 with a utility bed, but at around 120K miles it started spending more time at Mr. Goodwrench then on the road for engine and tranny problems. Any Chevy company truck (2500's) after that was a real POS front bumper to back bumper and ended up going to a scrap yard, not resale. They literally fell apart. Not one made it past 120K miles, even after thousands of dollars worth of repairs for each of them.

My company '08 F250 XL has 140K on it and even the driver's seat is still in great shape! I did have a '05 F250 which made to 80K miles without a problem before a big rig pulled out in front of me and it got totaled. All my work trucks are 4X4 and expected to preform as emergency response vehicles, all weather, all terrain and get driven on average 35K miles a year. The experience with company trucks is why I'm a Ford man. Only thing I've held against Ford trucks was the MPG, with the 6.7 diesel that's no longer a problem.

I don't know John. According to pickuptrucks.com the Ford F-series outsold Chevy Silverado and GMC Serria combined in 2011 through October.

I love all trucks, Ford, GM, Dodge, Freightliner, Volvo, etc. but as many have said they must perform well for the service you use it for.
This is just me but I never keep a car or truck over 75,000 miles, one reason is I love buying new models and they should be maintenance free up to that mileage range on major repairs.
I am also hooked easy when it comes to a good deal like offering $10,000 or better off sticker prices.

So enjoy your ride and you should feel that you purchased and own the best truck for you, because no one will purchase something they don't like or feel good about.
Truck wars are like showing off your Marbles when we were kids, I know I had a better Marble then the other kids, its all in fun and lets keep it in fun and if I every need help on the side of the road bring your Ford, GM, or Dodge to pull me to safety or the Rally as many have done for others in the pass. :ymhug:
