The last one looks like the front of a Malibu and the back of a Tundra and neither one is really a truck :)) .

I like the first one, sorta reminds me of the old Dodge Powerwagon, or a "Deuce" with "Lips".

Well if they come up with something in the middle it will be nice, as long as they get it sorted out by 2015 :d

No need to bet that should be ready for the next truck

And behind this door we have... LIPS!

I am questioning the need for a 8 speed tranny with a increase in HP and torque. After all we're not looking at a CGW of 80,000#. And unless the tranny is heavier and larger, what would be the durability? So heavier means less truck payload, keeping the same weight and size as current trannys brings up a durability question.

I bet they get it all figured out Jeff, plus 8 gears keeps the power band up so I bet it will be nice.

With my new six speed tranny with two overdrive gears and 3:73 rear end, at 70 the engine is showing just below 2000 RPM. Perhaps 1800 RPM. Running up, or down through the gears with the 'Bird on the hitch on 6% upgrade/downgrade or accelerating it's hard to tell when the tranny is shifting. So an eight speed, perhaps a taller rear end gear (3:55?) with a much lower first and second, plus two overdrive gears?

Beginning to remind me of "granny" gears with a 5 speed main and 3 speed second tranny setup I used to drive. If you went to first and first the tach would redline at 8 mph! :)
