ULSD low sulfur fuel

Post by Shields »

Well, I ddn't really like the extra noise, albeit very little, of my CTD on the new fuel. It always purred but wasn't purring right. So I tried this, http://www.powerservice.com/ and it brought the purr back and it seems to hve increased the mileage some although I want to keep track of that better before I claim it. It was on sale at the local farm supply store, so I tried it. Think I liked it

I use howes in mine it seems to work well plus once in a while I mix a little bio diesel in which really smooths it out.

low sulfer diesel

Post by Don Wilson »

Thanks for discussing what you guys were using in your fuel.

My Dodge CTD was considerably louder than before the ULS Diesel fuel. I picked up the Power Service and started using it on the 20th of January and noticed the purr had returned after the first tank of fuel.

I just sold my Alpenlite to my niece in New Mexico and I towed it to Flagstaff Arizona on Thursday and Friday to meet them. When I checked the milage after I got home I found that I had gotten a mile and a half better milage when towing the trailer and three miles better to the gallon as I drove home without the trailer.

The information that is shared on this website has been so helpful to me on many ocassions and I want to THANK all who have the knowledge and experince and are willing to share to make things better for all of us.
