Overload Springs

Post by teallen »

ordered some overload springs and will have them installed next week. The 3030RS we bought has a pin box weight of 2500 lbs (empty), the heaviest of all the cardinal models, thought I'd better beef up the suspension.

I prefer air bags but to each their own! Our rig is around 3200 pin if my memory serves me correctly.

Let us know how they work out for you and what they are so others can research later

Tom, I have the Firestone Airbags and I have the controls inside the cab that way I can control the air pressure as needed. :d

Ya Tom don't believe what you read mine was suppose to be a lot less and it came empty at 2,300 lbs now 2,600. It all depends on the options and the materials at the time they build it. Seems to me they are putting more weight on the trucks and less on the trailer axels these days

I agree with the airbag system. Better ride with the rv and without. Our pin is just over 3600.

X 2 on the Firestone air bags with controls and pump in the truck cab. 2,300# may be more with my Garcia Cardinal model fishing pole.
