And the saga continues...Went to Ocean City last week, stayed at Castaways CG. Awesome place, you gotta go there Towed fine all the way there. Ran great all week. 1 /5 from home and the trans temp starts to rise. then the tow haul light starts to flash (not a good sign) and trans temp is going up and back down. Made it home and parked the truck. Tryink to work out with the radiator company on a $3000 trans rebuild. Not fun. Really gettig tired of this bling.

Made a deal with the radiator co. to replace the trans. A used one with 60K miles less than mine with a warranty. They will pay to do the install as well. Better than a stick in the eye I suppose!

Rich,
You better stay away from the Ford dealership, looks like everybody who drives one of those 6.0L engined rigs ends up with a new 6.7l unit and loves it.

Got my truck back today. Seems to shift and act like it should. All new Ford SP syntetic fluid, new filters and seals. Trans shop said it looked good and fluid was in nice shape. And again, the real test is Moday when we leave for Va to look at a college for my son, Justin and then on to NC to drop Bethany off for her 4th year @ UNC Charlotte.

It just never ends!!!!!! Today went to the bank and on the main drag the rear wheels lock up, then roll, happens 3 more times in the parking lot. Make it almost back to the shop and all kinds of noise X( . this trans is killing me. Called the GM of the Co. ( had his cell #) He wasn't happy either. Again, I had to borrow a truck because we have to leave tomorrow for my daughters' college.

UGH!!!!!!!!

Talked to the trans shop this am. He said there is a sensor that tells the lock up in the converter if its in reverse or not. If it fails, it could tell the trans to shift into reverse. Thats the lock up of the rear wheels. So, a new trans is being shipped and the truck will be towed to the trans shop. One more malfunction and I'll find a 6 spd stick to put in there!!
