11.6 will be the average George. I see anywhere from 11.2 to 11.6 as an overall mileage for a trip. On this coming trip I should have 6,200 tow miles by the time I'm done. I am hoping to see some kind of a DEF message but I have 4 gallons with me so I probably will refill when I get to Branson. After the fight that I had last year with the GM dealership in South Dakota I only use DEF fluid from GM.

I only use the GM brand DFE also, I bought 2 gallons for the trip and need to put it in the truck.
I am very happy with the fuel mileage now, it just did a jump in mileage , could be the summer blend or starting to get a few more miles on the engine now.
You know I have a heavy foot when not towing so city mileage is not much better then when towing.

Believe me the dealerships try to find any way they can to get out of working on your truck under warranty. They even tried to blame the DEF pump failure on my transfer flow fuel tank! Kyle the oil filter monitor on your truck is very accurate, there have been a lot of people that have done a oil analysis and the results come out very good. GM has this one figured out. So you will probably be adding DEF fluid before your oil change.

I pull my empty 3450RL with a 2004 3500, but would never think to pull a loaded one with anything less than a 450/ 4500. The dry weight is more than the GCVRW of the 3500. I find it interesting that you pulled it with a 2500 even. Best of luck. :D

That doesn't sound right. If I'm not mistaken the GVW of a 3450RL is around 16K#.

Just got a baseline on the Edge insight as far as your def readings. The only thing my gauge did on this trip was when I got down to about 1.25 gallons of def it would jump to 33% when taking off from a light then go back to 100%. Started doing this to me yesterday so I put 2 gallons in and when I had my oil changed today they put another 2 gallons in to fill it up the rest of the way.
