Cost To Replace A Light.

Post by Traveler II »

Took our Chevy in for and oil change before we head out on a trip. I asked the dealer to replace the blub on a running light on the roof that is burned out. He called before he replaced it to check the price with me. Glad he did, he can’t replace the blub can only replace the fixture. Cost $110—told him I appreciate calling first and not to replace it. What was GM thinking?

Yes it is, its just the small one over the drivers side, not the big one in the center.

Internet search for replacements? Most LED units like that with lens & all should run around $50 or less. The rear of my truck is covered with them & they were itemized on my bed build invoice between $35 & $50. I have not replaced any but 90% of my driving is with lights off. (More fun that way at night!)
