Well got my truck back yesterday. :d They put about 18 hard miles on it trying to blow the turbo hose off and get the air pockets out of the water system. On the way home my eyes started watering and it smelled like a 1980's Ford gasser had its exhaust in my truck (no offense Ford guys but you know its true) and it was bad. It was to cold out to put the heater in re circulate and there was really no other cars around me. Got to thinking if this is what getting to smell things better is all about I dont want any part of it. =)) Had Susanna get in my truck when I got home and she said it smelled really strong of something like burning plastic.

So after unloading the truck I told her lets head back to the dealership which is about 20 miles away. Took out the paper floor protector they leave on the driver side floor mat and off we went. Yup smell gone with in a few miles so went back home and took that dang paper mat out of the garbage and found it to have a strong solvent smell that the tech must have stepped in and when the heat hit it

Had the same coolant disappearing problem on my 2011 cc dmax DRW. My outcome was new headgaskets. They also said mine was ready, except during the test drive fluid every where. You guest it, broken radiator. Head gaskets at 12000 mi. Main belt 14000 mi. Now a bad oil pump that they don't have a fix for. Love my truck but it's killing me. Have a good day now. Dave :d

I can surely understand your situation ( only our truck is not under any warranty ). We have been stranded in the KOA in Flagstaff, Az since Monday. The mighty Cummins has been getting progressively harder to start for a few days. We took the truck to be repaired here in Flagstaff. It needed a sensor on the fuel rack ( only $500 ). Then the mechanic noticed the water pump leaking out the weep hole. They fixed that quickly. The sensor hasn't shown up for 2 days. Now that it has arrived, they installed it and all the codes went away. Now, they are saying that it doesn't start quickly enough. One more day ( Friday ) and we should be on our way to Branson. The only good thing in our situation is that we never got the engine hot. Roy & JoAnn

Are you saying new oil pump because of the noise?
