How many miles you got on the dually now Mike? I know my '06 Dodge didn't top out on the mpg until I got over 30k on it. I'm hoping the same happens with this Ford. I should get to 30k while we're on the FROG/Southern/National rally trip. I think the quality of fuel available also makes a difference in the mpg. I've been using Diesel Kleen additive and it seems to help.

I just got 10.5 for 4 hours pulling at 60 - 67 on fairly flat I-5 road,
Sometimes I do better it is what is.

I average 10/10.5 towing in the hills of WV. But some say it is uphill both way here =)) =)) I normally drive with the cruise set on 65, but it doesn't seem to make any difference when I do set it on 70. I have become more comfortable at 65 since I don't have to change lanes very often. I average 17/18 :ymapplause: driving daily and not towing.

We went to Amarillo last weekend and I averaged 11.3 for the trip, of course we had a tail wind going up and no wind coming home. Normal pulling seems to be in the 10.5 to 10.9 range, not quite as good as the '06 Dodge, but close and I sure like the extra power. :)

Just finished a trip to Lost Wages. 11.8 going north on I15 in light traffic, 10.8 headed south with headwinds, espescially strong between Barstow and Mojave. Didn't use the cruise control much headed home on the Interstate, as it was bumper to bumper, and I had quite a few semi's on the 6% upgrades pull out in front of me from the truck lane to and from Vegas. Me at 60, them at 45 or less. Getting back up to speed made the biggest dent in the fuel milage. Trips to and from San Franscisco average 12 mpg at 62 with the cruise control on.

I agree with George if you want to feel good about your mpg watch the computer. If you want to deal with reality watch the pump!
