Post by Mike Clay »

The truck is pretty much fully loaded heated and ac seats, power rear window, nav system and much more. Stainless wheel trim and mud flaps one week from tomorrow.

Here are a couple shots of the outside from the dealers site in Washington

Sharp, Sharp, Sharp, can't go wrong with white, and I know that you will love the dually. :d It is the only way to go with a trailer the size of Alice.

Are you going to have the dealership transfer you fuel tank?

Don't forget to put 500-250 dealer transfer non towing miles before towing. They did half the job for you!!! This is to allow the AAM axle to seat the gears correctly. Modern diesels are good out of the box, differentials are not. Enjoy and remember you now have wide hips. One of my buddies got rear fenders twice. Chris

Mike. Was your "old" truck a 4X4? Is Alice gonna be tall enough to clear the bed rails on the "new" truck.

Yes after 3 Chevy's it will have 500 miles on it before towing.

No lost the fuel tank will get a new one down the road

Yes my last truck was a 4x4

Only got to put 22 miles on it today had too many things to do tonight like going for a couple beers with my CPA :(( Going to put my gauges and the rest of the stuff in it tomorrow. Then we will get some more miles on it the next week. I will be going in one week from tomorrow to get my mud flaps and stainless fender trim on. We will be going out to see Alice in the next couple days so I can see if I may need to lower my hitch, should not have to seems to be the same height but need to make sure. I have lots of room between the rails and truck with the new trailer. Coming home today from Sandy Oregon in rush hour I did manage to get 19.6 mpg so that gives me hope. But I really miss having my edge insight in there to look at everything so that will be the first thing to go in tomorrow.

No kidding on watching the hips Chris. I pulled up next to a curb yesterday morning while test driving it and almost forgot about those dang training wheels. Going to take some getting use to and adjusting for where I use to take the srw trucks into. Parking is not a problem since we always park in the back of a lot so we can walk. I have only driven it about 25 miles so it wont take long to get use to everything, I hope. Being a 2013 everything is pretty much the same as my 2011 was except the new nav system which is a lot different from the one I had in my 08.

Going to hook it up to Alice today just to see where my hitch height is compared to the other truck. Plus need to get everything back in it then get at least another 300 miles on it before next Friday. :d

Went out to see Alice today and see how the hitch lined up. Pushed the auto memory on the trailer and it came up to the exact same place I unhooked my last truck from. All is setting pretty level and now that we have over 500 miles on the truck will go for a short tow tomorrow and see if all is well before we leave next Friday.

You should stop by a sign shop and get the truck dolled up to match the trailer! Chris
