I believe the Aisin tranny is still a 2-3k option. It is required for the high torque model/high tow rating rig.

I didn't pick up a 2013 Dodge brochure this year so I'm not up on the changes they made. I know they started requiring DEF like Ford and Chevy. I also know they upped their tow rateings , what I don't understand is they are still using the 265R17 tires but keep upping the weight.

2013's we drove had 275/7018's rated to 3640 with a 7,000 RAWR. Aisin tranny is a $2650 upgrade vs the 68RFE auto. Only the 2013 with the Aisin had DEF. For 2014 I am sure they all do. Chris

Whether it had DEF, or not, depended on the transmission?

I think so in 2013 or it was early vs late models. None of the Dodge/Ram 68RFE six speed auto's seemed to have it. All the Aisin tranny Pickup did have it. I believe the CC that all have the Aisin tranny got DEF a couple years ago.

In 2012 the CC used DEF and the pickups didn't, at least down here they were that way. Didn't know Dodge had 2 six speed auto transmissions as the brochures didn't list them.

Perhaps Santa should turbo charge Rudolph. He has to sub his heavy work out to commercial freight haulers. That tranny is too heavy even for Fed Ex overnight.
