Glad you got it done, I think the bed line option is a good idea. You'll love the extra range.

At Jackson I saw Mike's new aux tank. Nice, but pricey. I have been fighting an aux tank for years. So, I went shopping! RDS has good tanks, but does not have a unit that fits under the roll top canister of my Pace Edwards tonneau cover. Titan does not answer their phones?? Transfer Flow did answer the phone and Kim in customer service had me bring up their web page and showed me their tank specially made to fit under the tonneau storage canister. Tomorrow the tank arrives and Tuesday it is installed. It cost almost double of RDS so I am going to bill Mike for the difference. That’s my story and I am sticking to it.

=)) Well, Marv, Mike is off enjoying his Father's Day with our son so I'll be sure to point this out to him when he gets home. Really, though, you're going to be so happy you had one of these tanks installed!! We sure are.

Been in the auto body repair business for over 30 years. Transfer Flo is the one and only tank manufacturer I would install or recommend.

I installed my first T/F OEM replacement tank myself, for my '99 Ford V-10 gasser. They provided the best, most comprehensive instruction manual I have ever seen. Do not skip pages in the process, and you cannot go wrong. The next one, I had installed in my '08 diesel Ford in Chico by T/F. for $250. They did a wonderful job. Best tanks I have found. Price is up there because of quality, and their cost of getting CARB certification for each tank and application. (CARB is our friends at California Air Resources Board). Lots of aftermarket products are not legal in California because of CARB and thgeir extortion practices. T/F is the way to go for me.

Just remember to check and change the Transfer Flows filter on a regular basis since they are just small filters. I tend to change mine ever 3k miles. I keep a couple spares under my seat.

I got the auxiliary tank and had it installed. I opted for the fuel gauge. A nice device to watch while driving! Something like watching your garden grow while shaving. The tank fits like it was made for the limited space available. That is very nice! There is no way I can justify the expense of this pure unadulterated toy. And, while I was still enjoying sticker shock I filled up both the main and auxiliary tanks. I think I exceeded the limit of my no-limit AMX card. I took out a 2nd mortgage on the house so I can fill up again next month.
Mike, the next time I ask to see your toys remind me to check my brain to see if it is time for a replacement.
I estimate I can save maybe .04 cents per gallon with the auxiliary tank. I travel about 40,000 miles a year and average about 17 mpg. That means in 74 years the tank will have paid for itself. I guess the good news is the tank now matches a number of my other investments.
See you all in Tenn., maybe. Why am I scraping my knuckles on the floor?

It's not the savings, it's the reduction of stress about finding the next station when you're in the middle of no where! (Don't ask me how I know :-ss )

Well your just paying all at once not in stages. I have saved up to $20.00 by skipping an expensive town several times. We keep track and when you might be putting 70 gallons plus in the tank a .30 per gallon difference can save you $21.00. Not going to pay for the tank but it's nice not having to stop for fuel as much.

We got lucky and found a used T/F tank. The reason we were so lucky is that not many of them will fit in a short bed. Even used, I can tell it is a quality product. Roy & JoAnn
