The last time I bought an extended warranty was on my first VHS tape deck years ago. Never used it. The next time I buy an extended warranty will be if I ever buy a new diesel truck!!!!!!! Not much one can do DIY on these new techno marvels. The service computers to even peek into the workings of these trucks cost 1000's of dollars.

Like my first over nighter in a hospital was right after my 70th birth day, I have never owned a vehicle that spent much time in service departments. Of course we drove Hondas for years! I would be in culture shock! Chris

Yep, I think that applies to all new vehicles any more. Other than doing routine maintenance there's not much you can DIY any longer.
