How many of you 30TS owners tow with a 3/4 ton? I would like to buy an '07 Ford before they are all gone. F350's are hard to find except DRW. Trying to determine if an F250 will handle it OK.

I pulled a 30' triple slide for 7 years with a 3/4 ton. I was real close to my gross weight but all was fine.

We have a 29TS, same unit but 1 foot smaller somewhere. Weights are about the same I think. We don't have any problems. We have run through the scales and are over on GVW, under on RGAWR and GCWR. We just try and keep our loading balanced and are careful about not keeping too much stuff in there.

We have a 30TS and were towing with a Ford F250 6.0L PSD. The TV pulled it just fine. I added Firestone air springs so that the truck would ride level (squated 3/4-1 inch). We traded that truck because of the engine problems Ford was having with the 6.0L

BB_TX,
We pull ours with a 3/4 ton Dodge Cummins diesel with 4 wheel drive and haven't had any problems. Sometimes when we find a smooth road I tend to forget it's behind me. :D
I'm probably going to add air bags only to bring the truck back to level as it tends to squat about an inch or so.

Thanks for the input. I found a new '07 F350 6.0 at a great price and decided to go with it just to make sure I stayed within load ratings.

I might have known the peanut gallery couldn't resist to git me  That's WHY I don't have decorations...if Scott had bought a bigger truck I would be JUST like Donna

To go back to the original post - glad you found a truck that will work for you. 8)

bb_tex,
Congratulations on getting a great deal on that new Ford. The 3/4 ton would have worked fine but I don't think you'll ever regret getting the 1 ton.
Now you and your significant other can load up the 5vr till the house is empty and hit the road!!

My first choice was an F350 too but I could find one with the options I wanted.

Peanut gallery again here: I truely believe that one Donna is plenty for this club. We wouldn't want you any other way than how you already are Jenny! 8)

I do believe that "decorating" really isn't the term for Donna's trailer  More like - re-design the entire trailer, don't you think?  :D
