We (GOD Willing) will be heading to Tucson area for a good part of winter. How scarce are sites in the area in Jan-March? Will be flying home for Holidays, so are reluctant to reserve for all the time we will be gone to insure a site. First time more than 200 miles away from home with the Red Bird.
We have a storage site for the time we will be back in AK.
tks roger

Roger, I have not wintered there, but have traveled through in the winter months and never had a problem by calling about 2 days in advance.

We have stayed in Tuscon a couple of times and have found the parks have some spaces available for short term stays but if you want to stay longer than a week or so you should make advance reservations. Also, a monthly rate or season rate for a rv space is considerably less expensive than a weekly or daily rate. By paying a monthly rate and going home for the holidays you may find the cost is not much more than paying for a weekly rate and and storage. It is best to identify which parks you wish to stay with and call and talk with them about their reservation policies, weekly, monthly and season rates and available space then reserve a space and time frame so you know where home will be for the winter. Good Luck, Dave
