Sure they can Donna, I'd just be jealous but it could be done. Many people open Jack bottles when I'm not around! NW is not on my dance card for this next summer but the NE is. I'll make up for it in Yellowstone 2010 and meanwhile crack one open in Chattanooga which is coming up fast!

I plan to head leisurely north and west from Chattanooga. Not sure about the route, but I plan to see the Oregon/Washington area of the Great Northwest in the summer. I will have to get back down south before the snow flies, I just don't know about that "winterizing thing"...
Hope see ya'll then.

I think we'll be doing "extreme winterizing". We have 100' of water line to the trailer I'll have to insulate. So it looks like I need to get down to Home Depot soon. At 2500' in the Mojave, it won't be long until water lines start to freeze that are laying on the ground unprotected.

Hi Jeff,

Are the lines on top of the ground while you are finishing your house or is that running to your trailer? When do the winter nights start getting that cold in the desert? We haven't seen it below about 48 in the valley so far this fall!

Hey Ernie,
If you were to leave the Eastern Rally and come out for the Ca. Nv Rally on April 31, May 1,2 and 3 you could then have all of the rest of the summer to travel the west and northwest. You would still find that would not be enough time to visit everywhere and everybody! :D I'm just planting the idea so it has time to grow!

We're in Rosamond, just west of Edwards AFB on CA14. This morning it was 34, so winter's a'coming. Plus the 'Bird is at one side of the lot, and the utilities at the opposite corner, so yeah, they're on the ground. Except the sewer, I had a "clean out" installed by the trailer pad. Good news is I THINK we'll be in the house at or shortly after Thanksgiving. It's been a long time coming.

I'm sure glad we're not in the Dakota's, 70's to teens and a blizzard in 48 hours. I hate that!

And a plug for State Farm. After our house burned down, they placed us in a furnished house around the corner for a year and a half. And paid the full amount of our claims without a hassle. We learned something though, look around your house at all your belongings, then look at the personal property limit of your homeowners insurance. Our limit covered perhaps half of our loss.
