It removed all the forward / backward jerking when hitting those highway joints that throws the weight back and forth for a few moments, also it will add about 2" to the height in the same hole.
I have the same hitch and work great together?
I have the design with the rollers in the head that glides about 3", they make it now with a rubber glide system.

I checked my tail gate, height is 58" and my hitch in the truck still has holes to raise.
I have 7 " of bed rail clearance, however my trailer sits higher because I have the Trail Air Center point air ride spring system with 8,000 lb. dexter springs and can adjust the back of trailer with more or less air.
The Trail Air Tri Glide Pin box gives me 2" more in front so everything sits level with more clearance.

I've ordered a Flex Air pin box from Amazon. It will be here next weekend. It should give me some better mounting options and an extra inch or so of clearance between the bed rails along with a smoother ride.

Thanks for the help everyone.

George,

How much did the Trail air Centerpoint raise your trailer height?

When she finds out how much it was she just might pick it up and throw it at me

Gary,
The center point system raises the trailer about 1" , it is a great system I have had it on two Cardinals.
It really improves the ride inside the trailer, no bouncing .

George,

Good to know. First saw the system about ten years ago on an SOB. Been eyeing it ever since.

Thanks George the pictures are very helpful. My hitch should be here next Saturday and I'll have the weekend to get it all sorted out.

Well the first hitch I ordered from Amazon wasn't delivered as it was damaged in transit. Amazon didn't handle the whole thing very well which is unusual, but I was given a full refund. I ordered another one from etrailer and it arrived today. It looks like it was rolled or kicked here. It's a big hunk of metal so I don't imagine it's damaged, but if anyone has any suggestions on things to check before bolting it on let me know. The plan is to mount it up on Sunday.

John, Alice had a trail air pin box. My only problem with it was I was running max air pressure and still had to put 2/3 tank of fresh water in. They have changed the bag they use and it will hold more weight. I like the mor ryde I have now but will probably go back to air. This is the best towing trailer I have owned and will move slowly on making changes from here on out.
