cross wind

Discuss with others about towing. What is the best tow vehicle, hitches, brake controllers, etc, keeping in mind that everybody has his/her favorite.

cross wind

Post by Diesel Dave 04 »

This past weekend we were in Bethany beach Delaware when the hurricane came close to the coast so with the rest of the weekend being shot do to the weather we decided to pull out sat. and head home where the weather was good.
Any way we were in the middle of 60 mph cross winds and I had two large bridges to cross. Well let me just say I was very nerves I been around these fifth wheels for years and I mean many but this is the first time I had that strong of a cross wind and pulled a 13X42 sail. I will try never again to do that. #:-s

Glad you made it without problems. I towed back from upstate NY several years ago. The wind was pretty strong, there were times that my 7.3 Ford would only maintain 65mph towing a 39' fiver. It was not fun at all.
