Brake Controler

Post by Diesel Dave 04 »

Ok who is useing what?
I been useing a Jordon 2020 and it was great but It seems like it is taking a bling on me It comes on strong then the numbers jump all over and it dont seem to do much.
What controler is out there that works well that I wont have to turn up and down each time i come to a town with stop and go.
Thanks Dave

I use a Prodigy, I seldom need to adjust anything with it, occasional tweak with severe weather changes. Even though I now have disc brakes, it worked well with the drums before the swap. Very even and controlled braking, I am very happy with it.

Not sure Dave. Unfortunatlely the truck is 7 time zones away from me (at work again) so I can't go peek. I just went down to a trailer parts place and picked one up. I'd only be able to tell you mid September. Sorry.

Check pplmotorhomes.com in Houston, that is where I got mine and seems it was a bit cheaper at the time.

We use a Prodigy as well. Last time out thought it was broken till I checked the settings and they had been turned off. Once reset to 6.3, all was well. I really like the controller.

Another Prodigy here - no problems with it. Scott "tweaks" it sometimes when he is in traffic, but when I drive I never mess with it - I don't notice any difference. :?

I've been a happy Prodigy owner for over 5 years.

Another happy prodigy brake controller here. The control seems very good, easy to adjust, has the lever for trailer braking only, and small size under the dash.

Nope, but it's not an option for those not towing with a 2005 or later Ford. I think GM will offer one next year.
