Pull Rite

Discuss with others about towing. What is the best tow vehicle, hitches, brake controllers, etc, keeping in mind that everybody has his/her favorite.

Pull Rite

I purchased and installed the 16K Pull Rite Super Hitch two weeks ago. I really like this new hitch, it has eliminated the jurky motion, has four way pivot to reduce the stress I had with the two way, and is very easy to hook to. No guess work with this one, when it closes, you know you are safely latched.

Thanks for the report Kevin. It seems like those Pull Rite hitches are pretty popular.

Thanks for the report on the pullrite KWW. We pick up our new pullrite for our GMC 2500 diesel Friday and our new 31RK. Never pulled anything like this before. Yikes!!

Be careful there, always visually check pin engagement as it is possible to high-hitch. It has happened to one of our members, luckily it just trashed his tailgate.

Guy,
I always do a visual check. I also do a pull test before retracting the landing gears.

Once I have eyeballed the fifth wheel hitched up and the electrical connected and emergency brake cable hooked up I raise the landing gears off the ground about 1/2 inch. I get into the pickup and slide the manual brake lever on the controler to the on position and put the pickup in drive and attempt to pull the trailer.

The hitched has always been hooked up properly so far but I would rather the trailer drop a half inch when doing this test than have it come down on the pickup bed or come lose traveling down the road when the landing gears are up. When I am satisfied I put the pickup back into park and raise the landing gear up the rest of the way and go on with my check list.
