What tires do you have on your truck

Discuss with others about towing. What is the best tow vehicle, hitches, brake controllers, etc, keeping in mind that everybody has his/her favorite.

What tires do you have on your truck

Post by Mike Clay »

I am getting ready to buy new tires for my truck. Was wondering what you guys are running for a load range E tire. I have Toyo A/T on now got 45 k out of them. Was thinking of going with a M55 tire this time.

Mike, I'll just say stay away from General Ameritrac, this is my second truck that came from the factory with them and they are absolutely terrible in wet conditions.

Mine came equiped with Pirelli. Only have 25000 miles, but they seem to wearing better than any I've had in the past. My brother has the same and has about 60,000 miles on them and still have a little (very little) wear left.

Bridgestone Dueler Revo. 17 inch, best tires I have ever had on a truck. The last set went 40k and the dealer gave me $20 apiece when I put on a new set because there was another 5k at least of tread. But I was going on a 4k trip over the mountains in winter so I sprung for new ones. They grip the road, they go thru mud and snow, and they wear well.

Bridgestone Duelers.....which are very similar to the original equipment tires I had on and really liked. I use an all season tread cause I do not off road any more and like the quieter ride.

well I went out and bought Wild Country XTX the new type not made by Goodyear. Same weight rating as the Toyo 50k guarantee snow flake on the sidewall so we shall see.
