Not sure if I seen it on this site or somewhere else but, has anyone seen the video of the VW Bug pulling the 5th wheel trailer? The trailer was designed for the bug and the 5th wheel was centered on top of the roof. The car could do a 180 turn around under the 5th wheel and drive forward to back in the trailer. Pretty cool. Maybe you could do a mod and try that with your Ford! :))

A link to an article in Light & Medium Trucks which I just received.

The new Super Duty's sound nice, but I need to get a few (hundred) thousand miles on mine first. I should live so long! ;)

from the lm article "The 5.6-gallon tank holds enough DEF for a range of about 800 miles, Ford executives said. Ford says the new diesel will deliver an 18% improvement in fuel economy over its predecessor."
Do they calculate the 5.6gallons of DEF in that equation?
NOT!
If I get 18% increase in mileage towing. I can afford to spend $4.37 / gallon on DEF to break even.

800 miles does not seem like much I thought I read the Chevy and Dodge well at least the Chevy will go 1500 miles.

New Dodge pickups will not have it for 2011 at least. Chris

I'm wondering about the 800 miles range for the DEF statement quoted in this L&MT article, in articles that I've read in other publications, the numbers have been in the 1200 mile range. Quite the difference.

Chris, I think all the light truck diesels will have DEF for 2011 to meet the mandated federal EPA exhaust emissions requirements. Navistar is the only diesel maker who is using a different method, recirculating exhaust gas I think, and Ford and Navistar have parted ways starting with the 2011 trucks.

Ford really redesigned the 2011, they want back to the basics.
Here is under cover photo of the Ford engineers test the new F-450
