Sorry it has taken so long to get back, I've been really busy lately. The problem with the 6.0 has been solved, I got rid of it and got an 08 6.4, it pulls much better. thanks for all the help.

That's the way! :) I've been pulling the 'Bird all over the West with my 6.4 and love the power. 7 to 10% grades at 7,000', not a problem at 55 mph, with the air conditioner on. It'll go faster up the hill, but so does the fuel. I cruise at 2000 rpm/62 mph (on the GPS, the speedo shows around 65). And the temps stay in the middle of the gauge even on 100 degree days. After 10,000 miles with the 'Bird in tow it still hasn't got "broken in" yet. The mileage is just starting to improve, 9.5 mpg with the 'Bird now after going over a 4,000' pass on our last trip.

I was just going to pipe in it is the 6.0. That is not one of ford or internationals bright spots. You were likely headed to a major repair between a piston melting or head gasket letting go. The 6.4 is a much better motor. IF you really wanted to make it go and last a long time look at some of the after market EGR upgrades.
