Stressing over towing with my new 2011 3500HD

Discuss with others about towing. What is the best tow vehicle, hitches, brake controllers, etc, keeping in mind that everybody has his/her favorite.

Well as Mike said I had a big smile on my face after my first pull with the new 2011 GM 3500 HD.
I know many would say you went from a Medium Duty truck to a smaller truck and you are saying the smaller truck does a better job, how can that be.
This is what I noticed, the Top Kick truck had 3,500 lbs more weight and was slower pulling up hills and just slower taking off under nomal tow conditions, although the truck was rated to pull high loads it felt and sounded like the truck was working so hard all the time it made me stress while driving all the time.
The new 2011 truck pulls the same loads and drives and handles as if driving with out the trailer, its power and lower RPM power just gives you the feeling the truck is not working hard at all.
No high RPM's, no fan coming on and off while driving up every hill to cool every thing down letting you know that the truck worked hard and you better check everything is going back to normal temperatures.
As for the truck sitting high, it does look like you will have a problem but once hooked up the truck drops a couple inches and all works out close to level.
