Take a look

Discuss with others about towing. What is the best tow vehicle, hitches, brake controllers, etc, keeping in mind that everybody has his/her favorite.

Take a look

Post by Mike Clay »

Now yes this is basically a Chevy commercial BUT AMCI is doing the testing. Now dont get your feathers ruffled this is not a truck war just something interesting no matter if Ford, Dodge or Chevy won. Watch all of the videos and try to put Howey out of your mind lol

WOW !! What a show. I want to say up front that I own a 3500 dodge, cummins etc. I don't love my dodge but I'm a Cummins man. I drive the big rigs and have several proveable million miles behind me. Most of the miles are with the Cummins ISX engine. So with that said I would like to know some of the following.
Why wasn't the dodge shown when the load was put on the bed of the chevy and ford. I think because dodge owners all know that the dodge rides like a lumber wagon with almost no squat and that isn't a complement.
Were the trucks all geared the same, rear ends, transmissions, tire sizes, four wheel etc.
The dodge's have or offer a engine brake verses an exaust brake. Not knocking exaust brakes, I have one on my dodge but it doesn't compare with a engine brake.
I would also have liked to seen a cut away of the engines so as to in some way get a better Idea as to how long in the real working world the engines should last.
Now we all should know there is no comparrison to the Alison tranismission. I think it is the best.
I could go on but enough.
thanks much Mike. a great comercial. See you in Jackson :d

Interesting, a video counter to Ford's ad campaign.

But, I'm happy with my '09 Ford. 20,000 miles, 15,000 miles towing the 'Bird, the engine braking down 10% grades and power up the same grades keep me happy, the suspension changes since 2005 (RIDES LIKE A TRUCK), to '09 (Cowboy Lincoln) were great, and with the latest PCM flash, finally better MPG. I don't see any reason to get a newer truck.

Besides, I just finished washing and waxing it. That's A LOT OF WASHING AND WAXING! :D

What matters is "Are you happy with your current rig or are you looking to trade". Next year, it'll be something new. :thumbrt:

WOW! :ymsigh: I agree with ROB, the other truck companies should just stop production NOW. tomorrow AM I am getting 2 for sale signs for my trucks. LOL

How could it be, Ford says theirs is best, GM says theirs is and they both have proof. Who could be correct?

They all are! thats why brighams has 38 flavors. (or 37 or whatever)

Very impressive performance from the Gm, they really know their trucks strengths. I think these truck wars between manufacturers is great for us the consumer, we all get the benefits of the better and better rigs they are making.

Score 1 more for Mike and team GM :thumbrt:
