stuck and need opinions

Discuss with others about towing. What is the best tow vehicle, hitches, brake controllers, etc, keeping in mind that everybody has his/her favorite.

How stuck is the bird? Can you jack it up high enough to get boards under the tires to at least get you started and maybe you will have enough traction to pull it the rest of the way out.

Joel, the big thing you DO NOT want to do is "diamond" the frame.
So, if you are going to put a lot of Pull, torque on the frame, be sure to attach in 2 places, with equal pull on both sides, or you could "Tweak" the frame (a very bad thing)

Also, try to wait till the ground dries out, and maybe dig a "Trench" in front of the bird's tires, and use a ramp of thick wood, to give it some footing.

I got our motor home stuck a couple of times and jacked it up an put some plywood under the tires and was able to get out that way. We have a 4x4 pick up now and several times I've had to use the 4 wheel drive to get out. Hope it dries out soon for you.

Try putting boards or plywood (like Jim suggested) under the truck tires as well to get traction but if you did that in conjunction with having a 4x4 pick up pulling your truck I would think you should be able to get it out. I got stuck in mud a few years ago and a 4x4 was able to tow me out.

Hope you are not in the area of Tennessee where the tornado hit.

I have used snow chains on the drive wheels for extra traction in mud. Sometimes it helps.

Glad to see you won,t have to take up residence in the mud flats. I stuck my rig in sand right next to the asphalt road in North Carolina's Outer Banks. Had fun playing on the beach, not so much fun digging the rig out of the sandy shoulder. Took a kind man in a 4WD pickup truck and my 100 foot X 1" dia. rope to get 'er out. Big lesson learned for me. My wife laughs about it now...
