Low Drain Lines

Post by Anton & Sandy Jones »

We have the 2015 3875FB. We live in it full time. One of the "cons" of this unit is low sewer lines. Has anybody done "mods" to raise them. Flipping the axle seems to be the one thing most have done. Since we are already 13'6" high, I am concerned that flipping the axles will create more overhead problems. Any ideas?

Looking at your floorplan. Do you have 2 or 3 holding tanks? Looks like one tank forward for main bath and one or two midship for kitchen and half bath. Are you concerened about the long exposed sewer line running along the left side to the common outlet? Rather than raising the trailer height/ ground clearance of that pipe you could consider revising the waste drain line. Cut off the long pipe closer to the down pipe and glue a new outlet coupler there. Eliminate the long pipe, and modify existing outlet to handle only the midship tanks. That frees up undercarriage space and creates dual sewer outlets. You would then have to change hoses during cleanouts, or use a “Y” to connect two sewer hoses at the same time. Have you scraped that long pipe before. You have a lot of trailer ahead of the axles.
