SAILUN S637 TRAILER TIRE RECALL was announced this week by Sailun Tire, the National Highway Safety Administration, and the Bureau of Consumer Affairs. The involved tires are from factory code 1YJ (Vietnam) built with DOT build date codes between 2020 and 4120. SEE MY DETAILED POST UNDER 5TH WHEELS AND TT's.

Are these factory installed tires or after market?

I have replacement tires that I installed this year. I had Sailuns from the dealer that Cardinal paid for after they ruined the factory Rainiers during transit to CA. I replaced the original Sailuns this year due to axle misalignment and uneven wear, that I didn't feel comfortable with. Two of my replacements fall into the Recall dates, so I will change them.

I replaced one in August and is outside the recall. Date 5120
