Kenny,
Congrat's on the new to you rig and WELCOME to CRVC. :thumbrt:
I pulled my 3150 with a F250 4x4 crewcab short box for a whole year. I just added air bags to the rear suspension.

Welcome to the CRVC!! You've come to the right place.

Take a look at your tires and make sure they are in good shape and if they are Kenda, Carriers, or anything made in China make plans to get them changed ASAP.

I installed a Super Glide slider hitch. Hitting the rig was never an issue.

I, too, have a short bed Ford F250 and installed a Pull Rite Slider hitch and have had no problems at all. Also put air bags on the truck to level it out a little.

I have a F350 with a PullRite slider hitch. I pull a Cardinal 3625 with it. My complaint is that backing up, I can only turn 45 degrees either right or left before my Trail-Aire pinbox hits the bedrails of the truck. My advice is, make sure you know how far you can turn before your pinbox hits the siderails of your truck when backing up.

For your F250, add a Pyro, Boost and Tranny gauge if you don't have them. Keep the tire pressure as listed on the trailer and on the truck. Finally, it sounds dumb but use a checklist when hooking up and unhooking. You would be amazed how many times the experienced tows get into a rush and create shortcuts that bite them in the rear.

This site has a ton of lessons learned from the school of hard knocks so enjoy them and LEARN!
