I just received a letter from BF Goodrich informing me of an official recall of "approximately 800,000" tires.

Only tires with the following DOT sequences (the unique numbers and letters embossed in each tire) are being recalled. All others are OK.

LT235/85 R16 120Q LRE BFGoodrich Commercial T/A A/S: DOT sequence BF0R JD11 - - - - 1310 through 2912

LT245/75 R16 120Q LRE BFGoodrich Commercial T/A A/S: DOT sequence BF0R JD11 - - - - 1310 through 0312 and 1311 through 5211.

I haven't checked mine yet but they were made in 2010. So I'm expecting they're part of the recall. There's no charge for the replacements of course, but I'm sure I'll have to make an appt. -- make sure Discount Tires has the replacements in stock -- and then tow the trailer into town -- and make sure they don't destroy my pressure/temperature sensors which are attached to the insides of the rims.

Swell.

Cant remember I think I posted this a couple months ago. It was like one week before we left and I thought sure why not. My tires are not on the list though.

There is a lot of info on rv.net about this. Some are getting XPS RIBs due to the shortage of TA's. Michelin has even sent people across the street for Bridgestone Duravis R250's.
