New 33TBH and Chinese Tires

No one can blame you for your preference or position. I tend to lean towards the Michelins or Firestones. My trailer, as heavy as it is for me, is not the heaviest of the lot. So, the Michelins will indeed qualify weight wise.

Your choice to use The M's obviously has proven to be a good one for you. All I am saying is I think that is why Forest River does what it does.

No offense taken Mike, if I find a product that works I like to recommend it. Michelin has done that for me in this case,

I've been looking at these tires (BF Goodrich Commerical) as a replacement on my trailer. Have you noticed a difference in gas miliage with these. Of course around $100 a tire difference between these and the Michelin XPS means a 1 or 2 mpg loss with the All Weather tread it would take a while to make up the difference. Also I do pull the trailer on USFS roads, so how do the sidewalls take scuffing from rocks, and have you noticed if they are prone to picking up gravel in the tread. I tow often on these roads and this is one big reason why I have a 4x4. Nothing like it when you have to stop while going up a steep grade on a gravel road towing a trailer, and then getting restarted without spitting gravel into the coach like you do with a 4x2, if you can get started at all. Go to 4Low and walk right up the hill. Which I prefer to the alternative, backing down the hill around curves.

And BF Goodrich Tire was bought by Michelin in the early 1980's just for info.

Bought used 2003 33ts in April this year thought tires looked like new. We had pulled about 1,000 miles and last week had 2 tires blow out. Had tire dealer look at the tires, they were original made in 2001, but had no weather checks and looked like new. Had always been told RV tires should be replaced every 3-4 years made a believer out of me.

These were Kenda tires.

Replaced the Kenda's on the 5er with Michelen XPS RIB'S
Replaced the original equip tires on the Ford with Michelen LTX MS

Gives me almost as much peace of mind as my 16K SuperGlide hitch.

The LTX MS are going on my truck down the road also. Have Toyo and they do ok but wont get the 50k out of them. I still have the OEM Michelin's in my shop with half tread so I will put them back on this coming spring.
