Post by yogi154 »

Getting ready for Branson Saturday .I thought that Bird needs a bath so I get the Son in Law . And up on the roof we go with simple green a bush and a hose. No problem RIGHT ,well one cracked roof vent later ,a fast trip to a rv store replacement cap. then changed the cap looked at it then the base cracked . I didn't know you could buy plastic that thin or cheap.Well this time a 35 mile trip to Camping World We got out for under 200 bucks I was told we realy need this stuff Hey :D after 37 years I nod my head ok I know my place.
Changed the vent today ,& started loading up. Hey nobody fell off the roof Life's Good See You All in Branson

Wayne, if you are talking about the tank vent covers get ready for more. Mine all cracked apart as did the replacements I bought at camping world. Finnally found a real RV parts & service place that sold galvanized steel ones and no problems since.

Now you tell me !! This is a roof vent on the front just to the rear of the fiberglass nose. Yes it's a vent both stores said no it's plumbing vent.I tell the young man at the first store it's no roof vent. So when I went to Camping World .So before the Old Guy goes to C W I took a picture with the cell phone . Same deal at W C (Sir they don't have roof vents I said lookey here . So I guess I'll take the vents off the house :D for Metal ones. Well when I find the Metal ones I'll change them all .
Yes Donna we will meet the neighbors. we only have to drive 500 miles to do it. :D Well See You All Soon

Mine also has roof vents at front & rear and they are identical to tank vent covers. Obviously for ventilation inside the roof, just a hole in the roof under them. Every vent of that type replaced with galvanized steel. 6 total on my roof.

Wayne, Here is where I got mine: Terry's Truck & RVAccessories 1080 Sunset Strip Mountain Home, ID 208-587-0924. I have no idea if they ever do business by phone, but they might be able to tell you the manufacturer to help you hunt them down.
