These fuel filters on the duramax don't seem to go as long as the dodges do. I have 25,000 on the 07 and have had to change it 4 times. Check engine light comes on and truck starts putting out. Have lost one injector too
love the allison tranny but still prefer the cummins.
which engine do you have mine is the lmm and they say 8k but i like to change them at 6k

Ron that doesn’t sound right. Are you getting your fuel at a reputable dealer?

Got to thinking about this post my Dodge fuel filter was changed every 6k and it was starting to look bad but did not have the GM managment system in it so the Cummins would run until it could not suck fuel. Sometimes less is better, they say the oil management works well and oil samples have seemed to prove that.

Yes I am, The chevy dealer ask me that to. The same stations I've been getting fuel from for years for my dodges.
Usually change dodge fuel filters at 10,000 miles. Run strong and fuel pressure was always good. Never a problem.
O' well no biggie, Just got to keep an eye on it every 5k and change before ckeck engine light comes on.
Not knocking Duramax at all. I love my new truck! more comfy than my dodge. But my dodge does feel more like a truck

Its my work truck, I don't know if you have seen it. Its an 07 with the powervac on back for my air duct cleaning bussiness. I got it a year ago last spring. I had it painted the same color as my 05 dodge.
