I was thinking about this truck but, after the way Ford has treated me with my 6.0, I don't think so. Also, I don't want to be a $65000 guinea pig for the 6.7! I see GM is coming out with a 3500 with a tow rating of 20000 lbs. I think I will be going with the 2010 Dodge HD 3500. Nice truck, with 4:10 gear it has a 17000 lb tow rating. The 6.7 has been out there for 3 years now with no major issues. Unlike the 19 injectors done in my 6.0 and now back in for more!! X(

I will be looking at the new Chevy when it hits the lot, after being a Dodge man since 1994 and owning 5 of them I have to say for the 2 years I have owned this Chevy it is the best truck I/me/myself lol have ever owned. Only thing I dont like about the new one is the DEF but no matter what you go with you will deal with that.

They're all good, on highways. At work I've driven 5 Chevys, 2 F250s. All gas engines. I don't like the driving position of the Chevys, it kills my lower back, and my department (myself included) had had LOTS of durability issues with Chevys because of the amount of extreme off road use some of us who work outside of the cities put them through. The Chevys do get better gas mileage. In 2005 the company switched to Fords when the leases expire because of the high maintenance costs of the Chevys. Of the F250s, one, a 2005, was totaled in a wreck (not my fault), currently drive a 2008 I picked up new off the truck, with 85,000 miles, it only needs the 5000 mile oil/filters/tire rotation, etc. The drivers seat still isn't broken in yet! :P

With all that experience I went Ford Trucks with MY money. And I think the Beast is good for quite a few more years.

The last Dodge I've driven was my '48 1/2 ton, SWB with the flathead 6, 3 speed with granny low. Those were the days my friends...

Last year I traded the Ford truck for a Dodge. This is the very first time since I began driving that I have not owned a Ford. When I had the Chevy truck we had a Ford car. We now Dodge truck a BMW and a VW. So far I am doing fine and have not steped foot on a car lot since the trading the Ford!!!! I never thought it would happen.

Believe me, I know. Last Fall I was "looking" at the Fusion Hybrids and now I have one in sitting in the garage.

So a 2011 truck by the time of the national rally????

Bigger like a Medium Duty perhaps?
Or, I was just reading 10-4 Magazine today at lunch. So perhaps a KW or Peterbuilt. With a sleeper. :joke:
