46 New Members so far for March!!

Post by Luizianna »

We'd like to welcome all of our New Members to the Cardinal RV Club!! We are so glad you found us and look forward to your participation in making this club the best on the web and in the COUNTRY!!! Shoot, why not go for the WORLD!!! \:D/

On the registration page, we have a text box for new members to put the model of Cardinal RV they own or hope to own. If the model is not placed in that box...the new member will be deactivated and an email will be sent asking for that info. We are not asking for the year, that is irrelavent...but the model is a must have and it has to be a Cardinal.

We had to implement that option because of Spammers and bots trying to make this a porno site. So we do have to enforce it.

If there is NO response to our request for that information, after 30 days, that member name will be deleted.

Thank you for your cooperatation and helping us keep this site "Family Friendly"

LOL by setting the board up a little different two months ago I have put a huge burden on Linda. But the pay is great, oh wait forgot to tell you no pay :( This is a huge job with all the new members and I would also like to give thanks to Don and Martha Wilson in keeping our members list up to date. Unlike most clubs our member numbers are true participating members not sign ups that never come on or post again.

So to make a long story short thank you Linda for all of the hard work you do we all appreciate it very much. :ymapplause:

WHAT???? $-) $-) NO PAY? All these years I thought I was accumalatin a chunk of change here!!! lol We love this club and the people that have made it what it is today. Don't let Mikey fool ya...he does more than can be seen. He's the one that keeps the "inner workings" going. And YES a big thanks to Don and Martha for keeping the member database up to date!!! That is a huge load off us. We are averaging two and three new members a day!! Which is fantastic!! So...welcome to our new members, if we don't get to welcome you individually we apologize, but know that you are very much appreciated!!

Thank you to all involved in setting up and maintaining this site. Your efforts are really paying off which is evident from the increased membership. I really like the way it is set up and the information posted. I have learned a lot about the technical aspects of the RV and my tow vehicle. Much of the great knowledge found on this site equates to safety and enjoyment of camping for my family and me during our travels. It is not a big hobby for me to chat on the internet, but I like this site and the people are nice and helpful. :bounce:

We are new and very excited about being here. Love to read the checklists and helpful safety info. We have camped in smaller trailers and small motor homes. This is our first 5th wheel and it looks like Cardinal was a very good choice. Our first stay will be in Oklahoma City, so if anyone has input on places to stay there, we would appreciate that. Anything a new 5th Wheel captain should know would also be appreciated.

Welcome to the best place for all things Cardinal. The best advice I can give is for you to get out there and go camping in your new 5r. As questions come up don't be afraid to ask, someone will answer in no time.

Post some pictures of your rig and let us know about your travels. The best is if possible try and get to one the Club rallys.

I see you are from CA. and your first stay will be in OK. Have a great time and let us know how it goes!

I have stayed in 2 parks there, both are good for overnights/short stays as they are near I-40 and have traffic noise. We do an annual trip there to visit family, in order of my preference:
1. Rockwell RV Park... easy to maneuver and nice folks running it, long sites.
2. Council Road RV Park....friendly folks running it,maneuvers a bit tighter, sites a bit shorter and close side by side, many sites are grass if wet can get messy.

As to being a new captain...take the turns wide as 5vers cut in sharper and don't forget to look up as trees do not mix well with rubber roofs.
Good luck & drive safe. :thumbrt:

Quando if the two parks Bruce recommended are not in the area of Oklahoma City you want to be in you might want to check out a website Rv Park Review as there are 8 campgrounds listed in the OK City area. It is a website where people who have stayed at campgrounds write reviews and rate the campground.
Here is the link to the website
http://www.rvparkreviews.com/regions/Ok ... _City.html

We are having the Jackson Rally on May 12 thru 15 at Jackson Rancheria RV park in Jackson CA. Check it out in the Southwest Rally section. There will be about 25 to 30 other Cardinal owner there.
