Yes Vince got it real close if anything I might be 1/2 inch nose high, I lowered the hitch down one inch was a little worried about the back of the pin box hitting but had plenty of room. We took it on a 260 mile tow today to Sisters Oregon up over Santiam Pass which is a lot of 6% grades that go up over 4,000 feet. I wanted not only to get some base lines on heat, power, fuel mileage and wanted to see how the turbo brake worked holding back the trailer.
1. Power is amazing not pushing it was able to hold the speed limit of 55 up the pass.
2. Tranny and water temps plus EGT run pretty much the same as my 08 did the one improvement is the cooling fan comes on at 205 degrees instead of 230 like the 08
3. Averaged 11.7 mpg which is about what the last truck did but this one has a ways to go to get broke in so i expect that to improve a little.
4. The turbo brake works great there is a section of 6% downhill which is 6 miles long never had to touch the brakes to slow it down.
Yes they have had the brake controller since 2008 and they work very nice.
Here is a pic of the clearance i have left on almost a 90 degree turn
Sits pretty level
Detroit lake on the way up the mountain
Very pretty drive if you are ever in the area
