Truck Sales Are Up.
Re: Truck Sales Are Up.
I DID MY PART! Dealer said mine was shipped on 11/6, but might sit on at a railroad siding for a week or more before they send it on. That will work out well. We're leaving tomorrow for a 4 day trip to LAKE OSPREY in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Maybe the new truck will be in when we get home. Then, as most of you well know, it will take a week or more to get it rigged out. But that's FUN work!
Re: Truck Sales Are Up.
Same here. When I picked the truck up at the dealer it was ready to go. They had the bed liner sprayed in and had the hitch trasferred when I picked up the truck. All I had to do was put some miles on and I enjoyed that time.

Re: Truck Sales Are Up.
We even helped for the 2012 sales figures. Now all my stuff is installed (toolbox/aux tank, GPS), changed the mounting points on the DrawTite/Reese Signature hitch so it works with the Elite mount Ford uses as the factory 5th wheel mount, got the run in miles on. Ready to ROLL!!

Are you going to tow before your trip next week? Of course I'm one to talk since my first tow with the new truck was over 1000 miles.

Re: Truck Sales Are Up.
I was going to, but one of those "once in a Blue Moon" occasions came up. The Union Pacific RR is running their steam engine UP 844 from Colton to Yermo Saturday morning with a train of passenger cars, thru Cajon Pass, so a couple of buddies and I are headed out in Bubba to take pictures.Rob & Cathy wrote:Are you going to tow before your trip next week? Yep, and we can stand in Bubba's bed to shoot pictures over the top of everyone else if we have to. Every Rail fan, ie "Foamer" in SoCal will be out for this. The three of us either work for, or have retired from a RR, so we're called "Rails", by the way!

Re: Truck Sales Are Up.
That should be a great oppurtunity to get some great photos and since you work for U P you should know the best places for good photo ops but I bet the The National Trails Hiway will probably be like a parking lot while UP844 goes through.

Re: Truck Sales Are Up.
My thought too. And one of the two places we're headed to is along there. Gotta try though, plus I have a plan B if required. The entire route is in my district, so I get to go to a few places others can't.Don Wilson wrote:but I bet the The National Trails Hiway will probably be like a parking lot while UP844 goes through.
