Re: Tank Heater
Well......If I am reading the mind/logic.........it appears to be "Easier" to leave the black tank valve open..............despite the obvious risk of building a "Black Mountain"....Which I understand is a Bitch to remove.
So, one can only be warned....and then do as one pleases.

Re: Tank Heater
I believe CCC is saying that it is easier to flush the toilet if the hose is connected. I don't know CCC's model of Cardinal but if it is a "park" model, there is no black tank so you have to have a hose connected to use it.
A few years ago when we camp-hosted at a park that had a lot of people working on building pipelines and they claimed that they were living in their trailers, not camping. Many of them did not know about the black mountains they were creating by leaving the black tank valve open. I was only able to get a few of them to understand that they were living in a camper and some things were different.

Re: Tank Heater
I put some water in the fresh water tank, and closed the other tanks and stowed the sewer hose in the heated basement. I also disconnected the water hose and drained it.EAW wrote:RetiredFifthWheeler - now that the weather has warmed back up, how did you make out?
It seems that everything is working fine this morning and we won't be seeing another below freezing night on this trip. We are back on the heat pump, lol.
