Bed Liner
I looking into getting a bed liner on our tow vehicle and I have no idea what is best. I went to a local linex dealer and they want $500 for a full size truck bed spray-in liner. Is that a fair price? I saw a spary-in liner kit at our local tractor supply place for about $70. If I were more handy, I would seriously consider doing this myself.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Re: Bed Liner
Sounds about right for Linex, with the exception of this truck I have had linex in all of my trucks. This one I elected to go with a rubber bed mat then when the time comes to sell this truck if the box looks really bad I may get it sprayed then.

Re: Bed Liner
I rolled the herculiner in my work truck, and I work it like a trained mule! That was about 11 years ago, I would never do it again. The liner is almost non existant now and I did prep it correctly, its just not the same. It was ALOT of work and when I replace the bedside this summer I will have the thing sprayed with RHINO or LINE-X or whoever. Our plow trucks are also mostly Landscape trucks all year and many have sprays, the ones that do are just as nice as the day they were done.

Re: Bed Liner
Price here for Line-X in a short bed $450. My Ford has the step in the tail gate so it has a plastic cover on it. They will not spray it with Line-X, but I did pay $75 to get the small bottom section of the tail gate that does not have plastic cover on it sprayed with Line-X. Total was $525.

Re: Bed Liner
Line-X has been very good to me. I can't do anything to hurt it. My franchise removed bed before spraying so bolts are clean.

11 years ago I installed my hitch, removed the rails and had Line-X sprayed in. I then again installed the hitch rails again. Would I do if again? Yes, with the steps noted above.
Re: Bed Liner
I've had line-x until this new truck. On this truck the dealer had a product called Full Metal Jacket sprayed on. Works great!

Re: Bed Liner
In Colorado the LinX is $450 for a short bed. I have RhinoLiner on my Dodge and it has withstood some hard usage. RhinoLiner is $500 in Colorado. Everyone I talk to seems to like LinX.

Re: Bed Liner
I had 2 different trucks LineX and it held up very well, deck on current truck is Rhino-lined. The LineX is definitely better in my opinion, it held up well for years while I am already having issues (chips off easy) with the Rhino-line after only one year.

Maybe you shouldn't park your car on it!!campswithcritters wrote:I had 2 different trucks LineX and it held up very well, deck on current truck is Rhino-lined. Re: Bed Liner
We had the rhino sprayed on our 04 and it has held up very well. Not quite as bright as when new but no chipping or anything. We are happy with it. They too removed the rails, sprayed then replaced them. I want to say ours was $385 for our long bed, but that was 8 yrs. ago.
