Re: tow vehicle for 3800FL
I always did like the central, It was a Dirt Devil and optional in my 2006 Cardinal, and standard equipment in my new Cardinal is a Dometic.
I do not know if they had problems with the central units or it is just more work during the build process to use the central units, I think the Dyson is about the same cost when comparing just vacuum cost.
I have never had problems with the central and like the idea that exhaust does not return back into the trailer being vacuumed.

At the local RV show a few weeks ago there was a SOB with the dust pan in a carpeted section of the trailer. Not sure how useful that would be.

Roger, that sure does not make sense to ME! I like the 'dust pan' feature, but we do not carry the central vac hose with - too much like a python to have to store.. we have a Dyson DC 26 for general cleaning during trips, but then have a Dyson Animal for heavy duty cleaning when we get home... would really like the idea of the chargeable Dyson, and if ours dies, we will probably get THAT one - Grandson has one and LOVES it!

Re: tow vehicle for 3800FL
Easy to put a Dyson in than plumbing for a central vac that everybody complained came apart all the time. Mine has the InterVac from Dometic in it and I liked the Dirt Devil better in my last trailer.

Re: tow vehicle for 3800FL
We have a 2014 3800fl and love it. I have been towing it with a 2013 2500hd 4x4 GMC Denali for about a year. I finally made the decision to trade for a 2015 3500HD 4x4 Denali DRW. I just took it for a ride down the interstate and oh boy what a difference. I now know I really NEEDED a dually. Thanks to all the folks in this forum. I read a lot here, but 1st time to post here.
