285 NM 2/14

Post by R & D »

Today we were on our way back to Los Alamos heading north on 285 about 15 miles from Vaughn, NM...we past a Cardinal heading south. We were waving, but we were in a red 350 Z(crazy blonde waving 8-} )
Also we rode through a RV Cg in Hobbs ,NM as we were heading towards Lovington,NM.....saw a Cardinal(nice paint job :thumbrt: ) truck had NM plates. It was about 9:30am. We were afraid the occupants may still be sleeping so we didn't stop

On the other hand, once I actually passed a Cardinal. Glancing at the diver I didn't think it was wise to honk the horn and give a "High Five". Calm winds, straight freeway and no traffic, and the gent was "SO FOCOUSED!" :)

Just south of Santa Nella there was a silver Dodge pulling a Cardinal on southbound I5 today. We waved and actually got a wave in return! :o

Drove thru Brazos Bend State Park today (near (Damon ,Texas) and saw three Cardinal 5ers. One was a park host and the other two were campers. This is the most cardinals I have come across at one time except at a rally.
