Recent fuel price increase

Ours went up today also. Can you believe it diesel is cheaper than gas at some of the stations, it hasn't gone up like the gas. Diesel is as low as $1.91 and gas is as high as $1.99.

Our diesel prices have been higher than gas ever since we bought our truck in 2003 One of hubby's selling points to me when we got the truck was "Honey, diesel is ALWAYS cheaper than gas"..........well, it used to be..a long time ago.

Lynn, that is what MY honey told me, too!! That was when we bought our '03 Ford.. The other reason we bought is that it was the last year Ford made the 7.3 engine. Now we have the Chevy and I LOVE the way it rides and fuel mileage is about the same as the Ford. Donna

Flying J in Lansing was $2.12 at 5 am and $2.17 at 7 pm. What a difference a few hours make.

Well, I was out and about today and gas at our nearest Chevron (right off the freeway) is $2.29---diesel is $2.59.

We are driving to my parents in Ft. Sumner New Mexico without the Cardinal and I have purchased diesel in three location:
Ripon California on Thursday @ $2.19
Bakersfield California on Friday @ $2.21
Lake Havasau Arizona Exit (Exit 9) Friday @ $2.17

We will be in Albuquerque NM later this evening so I will see if it goes down as I go East?

Two good things are the truck is getting about 18.5 to 19 mpg where before it was about 17.5 mpg and when we made the trip last summer pulling the Cardinal we were paying $4.87 a gallon at 10 to 11 mpg!
