Last summer we stayed at Oak Plantation in Charleston. It is close to James Island. We were very pleased. The campground was very clean. We had a pull thru site. There were lots of grassy areas. It was close to a station for fuel fill up and there was a Publix grocery nearby.

We really like Ocean Lakes at Myrtle Beach. We have stayed at others at Myrtle beach but we always go back to Ocean Lakes. It is large but well organized. Check out their web site. You can book on line. It is not cheap but you won't be dissapointed.

We have stayed at Myrtle Beach Travel Park several time. Very nice park right on the ocean. They have a large pool and a lazy river. You can check their web site also.

I like Ocean Lakes if you want to stay on the southern end of Mytrle Beach (near Legends Theatre & on the ocean) or if the northern end of Myrtle Beach is more to your liking, I like MB Travel Park (on the ocean). Because we're members of Camp Club USA, we can stay @ Briarcliffe (is near the ocean, but not on the ocean), which is also @ North Myrtle Beach (right next to Barefoot's Landing), and just down the road from Bass Pro Shop.

I second the Oak Plantation!
We stayed there in '07.
While in Myrtle Beach, we decided on the KOA. Not bad at all.

And a third on the Oak Plantation, we have stayed there twice. Nice quiet campground with plenty of room.
