tonneau covers
We are in the need for a tonneau cover. I have had the roll up canister garage door style like the Jack rabbit and loved it but cannot use it on the dually because of cargo space needs. We need one as waterproof as possible and would like to know if any of you have had good luck with any specific ones? We are looking at ones like the genisis by lund, or another roll up soft style.
any experience? Alll opinions would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Re: tonneau covers
Extang makes some very good stuff - I have the Trifecta soft fold up on my dually - it absolutley does not leak or flap - still gives 3/4 of the truck box vertical space when folded...

I have had both Lund & Extang. Both companies make fine products.

Re: tonneau covers
I have a "Torza" Folding Tonneau cover, it is a Vinyl/Fabric,folds in 3 spots, is a CINCH to put on,and take off, is made in ELKHART Ind. (Yes U.S.A. )
On my old 5er, it would not clear my genny, so I carried it inside the 5er while it was hitched. And just put it on, when needed. It goes on with 4 swing clamps, levers....no rails, snaps, no hassle. and it's waterproof, I love it.
With my "new" 5er,it clears the genny mount, so ,I can leave it on all the summer.
Look up "Torza" covers . It is made by "Advantage Truck accessories" Dont know if this is what you are looking for, but it might do the trick.

Re: tonneau covers
I had the low pro model and loved it worked great for the 4 years i had the truck. I have a jackrabbit now and although i like the concept and how it works I hate trying to keep it looking good and have not had any help from their customer service to resolve the problem i have.The-Bear wrote:Which Truxedo model did you have and like? Re: tonneau covers
I have the Truxedo also and love it . (Low profile style) not 100 % leak proof but good enough for my needs. With a little foam tape, i think I could make it 98%. The leak points are in the 4 corners of the bed rail.

Re: tonneau covers
I have the Truxedo Lo Pro QT also. I like the velcro to take up the shrinkage in the winter and the stretch in the summer. I got tired of playing with the snaps others offer. I also like the ability to roll up what I need to haul something taller than the bed rails.

Re: tonneau covers
Extang Trifecta: no snaps, no velcro, drum tight in all conditions - water tight, installs in 5 minutes - two heavy duty spring clips keep it tight - a little pricey though!

Re: tonneau covers
Look at the Rugged Cover tri-fold,I really like mine and priced better than the Extang tri-fold.
Re: tonneau covers
I have the Retrax roll upcover and like it very much. The box for it does take up some space in bed of the truck but it is very convenient and locks. I do have some leakage in hard rains.

Re: tonneau covers
We have been using BakFlip hard cover and very satisfied with it. Folds in 4 places so we leave it with one section down when towing. Once trailer is disconnected easy to cover box.
Customer service was excellent as I lost a few parts and they sent replacements nc.

Re: tonneau covers
I have the Truxedo low pro and love it but found out this week that when i have my slider hitch in the rear position, the pin box hits the Truxedo frame when turning too far.
