Its costing me a little more since I pay 4.95 per gallon but I get it from the dealer incase I have a problem. Like my def pump going out I can hear it now you used bad def fluid.

Same as running synthetic oil and paying for an oil analysis each oil change. Small change compared to paying costs out of pocket instead of under a warranty anymore, gas or diesel. But, the increased MPG with the new diesels offset most of that by a large margin. It all figures into the Cost of Operation. After I retire, I plan on traveling, not spending my money on a old truck in the shop for repair and not on the road. Or if some future EPA rule makes the old truck too expensive to keep on the road. Hopefully the future EPA rules won't kill off the older vehicles, but I trust the EPA about as far as I can throw Mt. Whitney. Sorry guys, but buying the latest truck that you can pay off before retirement is the best you can do these days.Mike Clay wrote:Its costing me a little more since I pay 4.95 per gallon but I get it from the dealer incase I have a problem.
