Ford 2008 Diesel Recall
Anybody who is considering trading to a new 2008 Ford with 6.4 engine might want to wait a few months until they work the bugs out. Reports of flames from the exhaust pipe are coming in see this link.

Might look kinda cool at night, but I wouldn't want it to happen to me.

If they were that good I might have to make some in Oregon too! See if we can create some northern lights!geeksrus wrote:I had the same problem when I ate some of your stuffed jalapeños at the rally.

And their answer to this is to "power down" the vehicle until it cools.

THAT should make a lot of owners happy.

I had my heart set on a new F 450 and I got a good deal through the Costco program about $54K and was offered $13K for my 99 F250. I was already do do it and the flame thrower option scared me off plus I don't want to be a guinea pig on the new engine after the problems with the 6 liters problems. So I got another referral from Costco with the Dodge dealer and now I went to the dark side and bought a 3500 dually. I got the
older 5.9 CTD without the soot burner, we pick it up thursday.
I spoke with Rich at Adventure RV (nice guy) last week and we are nearly ready to get the 37 on order finally.
I want to thank everyone for your wisdom and advice and especially George for for his help. Thanks Steve and Mary
