Sewer hose storage
I just finished moving the things from my trade in to my 2007 30WBLE and was just a bit suprised when I was stowing the sewer hose, the angled fittings won't fit into the bumper, and the others were such a tight fit I removed them also as I could just see myself trying to fish one out at the dump station with 5 or 6 rigs behind me. Has anyone else run into this. Does FR have a larger storage bumper (I think I know that answer, but...) I'm not really looking forward to dumping tanks if I have to install/remove the fittings each time, even with the reverse flush on the black tank.

I use the one in the front (from the factory) as a spare hose holder. It doesn't have any fittings on it so it comes right out. I carry our main hose in this:

mounted under the rig and extends by the sewer hose connection.

I bought the 64" size. It enables me to store two hoses connected together. I mounted the rear of the tube directly to the under pan, then I made an extension so that the open end sits beside the sewer outlet. The slight tilt of the tube also allows any water in the hose to drain out.

Sewer Hose Storage
I made my storage tube out of 4 inch drain pipe purchased at Lowes. I put a cap on it on one end and a screw in cover on the botton end and currently have it mounted inside the storage compartment with plastic strapping. Inserting the drain hose through the cap end the sewer hose fits with the small elbow and the connector fitting. Using the screw on cover the drain connector does not fit in.
I have it mounted at an angle and drain it the next stop by placing a plastic bucket under it. I have detected a smell the last time out and would like to move it outside, but have the rear fiberglass cap and do not have a rear bumper! Any Ideas or pictures as how the rear mounted tubes connect on to the trailer would be helpful.

It appears that adding a hose storage tube under the mounts for the factory bumper might be the solution. I hate it when "Bean Counters" screw up something to save a dime, and then charge extra for it!

My problem is the fact that the factory bumper storage is smaller then my old units by about 1" on each side. Looking at new units from all the mfg, and replacement end caps available for the hose storage bumpers, this appears to be the norm now. However, there is NO way to store a angled fitting into one of these, it's just big enough for a hose only. Sometimes newer don't make better, for me this is one of those times.

I put my sewer hose in a plastic container from Lowe's that is about 8" tall and simply wind it around into this container, snap the lid shut, and place it anywhere--usually inside the basement. It takes up little room, and I could also place it in the back of the truck. It's easy to hose out and I notice no smell.

Sewer Hose
Chief409,
The elbow I have is a grey two piece which I purchased from Camping World and is the Camco brand. The threaded part that fits onto the sewer connector at the campground comes off and the elbow left on the hose is not much if any larger than the outer diameter of the sewer hose and much smaller than the connector that fits on the trailer! I still have to have a box for the bottom of the elbow which I store in a plastic box just like the one Markj refered to which is where I store extra hoses and fittings

Thanks for the replys. I think the plastic box is a great idea, I can also place the reverse flush hose there.

We have a plastic container, with lid, for ours. I can put 20' of Blueline hose + fittings along with a grey water hose for back flushing and clean up. When I'm all done with my duties I can throw everything in the container and shut the lid without worrying about drips &/or odors

I have two plastic tubs with lids. One I keep in order the way I hook up my 30 amp electric Cord, water hose, cable coax and mis. parts. The other tub has 2 10' sewer hoses plus all the connections. Stacked on top of each other they just fit in the basement.
